During a Life Line Screening event, a technician performs the tests using advanced ultrasound technology and other diagnostic equipment. The process is described as being quick, painless, and easy, often taking less than 90 minutes. After the screening, the results are reviewed by a board-certified physician. A confidential written report is sent to you within 10 to 21 days.
Life Line Screening encourages you to share these results with your primary care physician. If a critical finding is identified, you will be notified on the day of the screening.

Package Includes These Heart Disease & Stroke Risk Tests
$129

4 Preventive Health Screenings for these Diseases:

  • Carotid Artery - An ultrasound is performed to screen the carotid arteries (a pair of blood vessels in the neck that deliver blood to your brain) for buildup of fatty plaque. This buildup, called atherosclerosis, is one of the leading causes of stroke.
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm - An ultrasound is performed to screen the abdominal aorta for the presence of an enlargement or aneurysm. AAA can lead to a ruptured aortic artery, which is a life-threatening medical emergency.
  • Atrial Fibrillation - A 6-lead electrocardiogram (EKG) is performed by placing sensors on the arms and legs to screen for Atrial Fibrillation. AFib can lead to blood clots, stroke, and heart failure, and other heart-related complications.
  • Peripheral Arterial Disease - An Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) test is performed using blood pressure cuffs on the arms and legs. It is important to screen for PAD because it increases the risk of coronary artery disease, heart attack, or stroke.
Note:  While health insurance typically does not cover these preventative screenings, Life Line Screening does accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) payments.
